1 [I,T] call (out) to sb;call (sth) (out) to say sth loudly or to shout in order to attract attention 叫喊: ‘Hello, is anybody there?’ she called. 她喊道﹕“喂,有人在吗?”He called out the names and the winners stepped forward. 他读出了优胜者的名字,他们就都站到前面来。I could hear a man calling his dog. 我听见一名男子在叫他的狗。
