是不是觉得后者更好理解？
但是，在托福听力中，往往出现的是前者，尤其是在重听题中，录音内容往往会让你猜测说话者话语隐藏的真实含义。
对于广大中国考生来说，大家普遍缺乏美式英语浸泡的环境，导致在听力中遇到纯正美语时，往往会慌神， 而慌神的原因，往往因为几点：
01 不熟悉美式发音特点 1 连读 简单来说，连贯讲话自然会出现连读现象，在中文中也同样存在，例如传统的北京方言。 连读的各条规则在此处不作列举，我们只看一条：“后面单词以 h 开始，则前面单词结尾 音直接与后面单词的元音连读，此处 h 很少发音”，比如 TPO49 Lecture3：“Well,foronething,they'vegotthickhairallovertheirbody,evenontheirnoses.”许 多同学被录音内容的 thickair迷惑，并未听出原句关键词的意思。
2 “t”的浊化 同样，t 的浊化发音规则不作赘述，我们也只看一条：当“t”出现在两个元音之间 且处于非重读位置的时候，/t/需要经过从送气到不送气的转变，发成一个近似于/d/ 的 音， 例 如：water → wader，writer → wrider，metal → medal，better → bedder， city → cidy 等。
02 较少接触美国俚语 托福听力当中，俚语的出现不胜枚举，它是百姓在生活当中总结出来通俗顺口并具有 地方色彩的语言。然而，同学们通常出现以下理解上的错误：
1 望文生义 让我们直接来看一个出现在TPO 12 Conversation 1的例子： What does the professor mean when she says this?
重听内容：tell me about it A.Sheunderstandsthestudent'sproblem. B.Shewantsthestudenttoexplainhiscomment. C.Shedidnothearwhatthestudentsaid. D.Shedoesnotacceptthestudent'sexcuse.
录音原文 Professor:Yes,Iwouldjuststicktothetopic.Anythingunrelatedtotheuseofnatureimagehasnoplaceinthepaper,allthattangentialmaterialjustdistractionfromthemainargument. Student:Yeah,Ineverknowhowmuchtoinclude.Youknow... wheretodrawtheline? Professor:Tellmeaboutit!Allwritersstrugglewiththatone.Butit ' ssomethingyoucanlearn.Thatwillbecomemoreclearwithpractice. 我 相 信 每 个 人 都 能 理 解“tellmeaboutit”这句话的字面意思，就是“告诉我吧，跟我说说吧”，如果这样理解的话，表示教授希望近 一步了解下去。但是，这句话在美国俚语中通常表示为赞成对方说的话，理解为“可不是嘛”，“那 当然啦”。原文说学生说自己都不知道在论文中 到底需要包含哪些内容，教授这里所说的“tellmeaboutit”表示赞同学生所说的话，后面紧接 着解释了一句“所有作家都会纠结这一点”，表 示不是只有这个学生有这个疑问，对应 A。
2 听不出反讽语气 再来看一个TPO 17 Conversation 2的例子： What does the woman imply when she says this? 重听内容：quite a sacrifice A.Shethinksthemanshouldkeephisjobasawaiter. B.Sheisgratefulthatthemaniswillingtoworklongerhours. C.Themanwillhavetomakemanysacrificestoachievehisgoals. D.Themandoesnotappreciatetheopportunitysheisofferinghim.
录音原文 Manager:Letmesee,Iamofferingyousomethingthathasthehoursyouwant,itisrighthereoncampus,andyoumakeasmuchmoneyasyoudidbeingawaiter,quiteasacrifice. 本题上文讲述男生因为私人原因，不想接纳经 理提供的餐厅后厨工作，而想要餐厅服务员的工作。 本题重听部分从语气上听，能知道经理已经有些不满。从内容上听，经理说我已经给你理想时间段的工作，而且就在学校里，赚的钱又和当服务员一样多，可见经理对于男生不仅犹豫要不要接工作，而且丝毫没有对她表示感谢，对应 D。
3 缺乏相关文化背景 备考时，我强烈建议同学们应该事先了解北美 校园文化，能让考试事半功倍。比如，新生进校 园，等待大家的个项目是 orientation，接下 来你会有数不清的 project 和 presentation，最 怕到了 due 还要 rewrite，遇事可以放心大胆地问 mentor，tutor 或 advisor，闲来无事可以参加各种 workshop。以上背景词汇，你熟悉的有几个呢？
除道出以上几点原因之外，下面给大家分享一 下遇到含有地道美语的重听题，应该如何解决： 正确选项与原文同义替换 举例TPO 10 Conversation 2 What does the man mean when he says this? A.Hethinksthestore'spolicyistoostrict. 录音原文 Student:Hmm...Well,thisIwasn' texpecting.Imean...uh...Wow! 该题重听部分出现得比较突兀，学生可能记不 清楚上下文语境。重听部分可理解为“哇，这我真 没有想到”同义替换 C 选项的 surprised，学生认 为工作人员的建议让他出乎意料。
通过语气猜测正确含义 举例TPO 19 Lecture 1 What can be inferred about the professor when she says this? A.Sheisnotsurewhatcauseslanguagestochange. B.Shedoesnotthinkthatlanguageschangequickly. C.Shethinksafactshejustmentionedaboutlanguagemightbehardtobelieve. D.Shethinkslanguagesevolveddifferentlyinthepastthantheydonow.

该题重听部分为学生讲的话，他认为自己的经历和教授所讲述的内容有冲突，并伴随有明显 表示转折逻辑词but，所以对应选项表示有冲突 （contradicts）的一项 C。
