一定对片头曲不陌生

短短一分钟不到的小曲子

其实暗含了很多有意思的英文表达

Captain：Are ya ready, kids?

船长：准备好了吗，孩子们？

Kids：Aye, aye Captain!

孩子：是的，准备好了！

aye：是；对；当然

这里的孩子们在表示确认的时候，并没有使用我们常见的yes，而是使用了 aye。

日常生活中，上课前老师通常会进行点名，我们中文喊“到”，英文对应的是“I am here"。

除此之外，你还可以喊 aye 或yep，这种说法就比较美式了。Aye 就是赞成/同意的意思，常常用于投票表决的情况。尤其在航海术语里，专用于海员回答上级命令的时候。

在日常生活中，aye 是一个非常口语化的词，比yes会更随意，轻松。也可以表示同意，甚至是表示惊喜。

如果... 是你想做的事情

If nautical nonsense be something you wish 的意思是“如果四处航海是你的愿望”。

那么If ... be something you want 的意思就是“如果... 是你想做的事情/按你所希望的发展”

同样的还可以说if…be what you want/ prefer/ like.

举个栗子：

①If you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done
若想得到你从未拥有过的东西，必须做你从未做过的事。

②If that is something you want.

如果这是你所希望的。
