Type of fee: Administrative Charges 1.Course Drop Charge $100.00/per term comments: Beginning the second Tuesday of the semester until census date a drop charge will be assessed each time a student drops a course. If a student withdraws (therefore dropping all classes), a drop charge will be assessed for each course. Students should consult the official Academic Calendar for specific drop deadlines each semester. 2.Registration Advance Payment $200.00/per term comments: All CU Denver students taking classes through the Denver campus are required to make a registration advance payment before they may register for classes each semester. The ONLY two exceptions to this requirement are students whose FAFSA has been received by the Office of Financial Aid, or students who have not been admitted to an academic program at CU Denver and are only taking Extended Studies courses. Please see the Billing and Enrollment Policy for complete details. 3.Deferred Payment Plan Charge $35.00/per term comments: Students who sign up for the Deferred Payment Plan, which allows their semester tuition and fee balance to be paid in three monthly installments. The fee applies each semester when signing up for the payment plan. 4.Returned Check Charge $20.00/per term comments: Students who submit invalid bank items (checks, e-checks, etc.) to CU Denver are subject to a returned check charge of $20 each item. This includes but is not limited to items returned for insufficient funds, stopped payments, and invalid account numbers. 5.Outstanding Balance Service Charge comments: Students who do not pay their University bill by the payment due date indicated on their electronic billing statement are subject to a 1.75% service charge each month on the past due portion of their account balance. 6.Internationally Sponsored Student Charge $100.00/per term comments: Administrative charge to international sponsors of students enrolled at CU Denver.
