萨里大学 (University of Surry)
成立于 1891年，1966年成为综合性大学，大学毕业生就业率极高，长期位于毕业生就业排名第一，这源于大学卓越的教育质量。电子工程系是学校最大的系，其空间技术、卫星通讯很牛，有自己的空间实验室，通信系统研究中心是英国最大的，该中心研制的小型卫星处于国际领先地位，也是全英移动通信的研究中心。大学拥有自己的卫星公司，在小卫星方面的技术绝对在世界是一流的，卫星通信带动移动通信的发展，同时也带动图像处理，计算机视觉技术的发展。所以，现在surrey的通信系统研究中心CCSR分3个组，Mobile Communications Research Group，Multimedia and Digital Signal Processing Research Group, Networks Research Group 。最强的最庞大是Mobile Communications Research Group。
