Development and the Environment 发展与环境 With the development of industry, people are faced with the problem of a worseningenvironment. Fish are disappearing in many rivers and lots of green land is changing intodesert. 随着工业的发展，人们面临着环境恶化的问题。许多河流中不再有鱼的踪迹，众多绿地变成了沙漠。 What are the causes of this? Firstly, too much development of natural resources has greatlydamaged the balance of nature. Many people only focus on the economic profits, withoutconsidering any means of environmental protection. Secondly, the government hasn't takenany effective measures for the further development of the economy.
