2 very; very much 很；十分: I'm really tired. 我很累。Are you really sure? 你十分有把握吗？I really hope you enjoy yourself. 我很希望你过得愉快。I really tried but I couldn't do it. 我努力尝试过了，但是做不来。

3 used as a question for expressing surprise, interest, doubt, etc （用作问句，表示惊奇、感兴趣、怀疑等）: ‘She's left her husband.’ ‘Really? When did that happen?’ “她已离开丈夫。”“真的吗？是在什么时候发生的？”

4 used in negative sentences to make what you are saying less strong （用于否定句中缓和说话语气）: I don't really agree with that. 我对那个不大赞成。

5 used in questions when you are expecting sb to answer ‘No’ （用于疑问句中，预料对方会作出否定的回答）: You don't really expect me to believe that, do you? 你不是真的以为我会相信那个吧？
