1 used in forming the future tenses (用于构成将来时)将: He'll be here soon. 他很快就会到。I'm sure you'll pass your exam. 我肯定你考试会及格。I'll be sitting on the beach this time next week. 下星期这个时候,我将会坐在海滩上。Next Sunday, they'll have been in England for a year. 到下星期天,他们在英格兰就有一年了。
2 used for showing that sb is offering sth or wants to do sth, or that sth is able to do sth (用于表示某人提供某物、想做某事或某物能够做某事): ‘We need some more milk.’ ‘OK, I'll get it.’ “我们还要一些牛奶。”“好的,我去拿。”Why won't you tell me where you were last night? 为什么你不肯告诉我昨晚你去了哪儿?My car won't start. 我的车子发动不起来。
3 used for asking sb to do sth (用于请某人做某事): Will you sit down, please? 你请坐好吗?

5 used for saying that you think sth is probably true (用于表示某事应该属实): That'll be the postman at the door. 那一定是邮差在门口。He'll have left work by now, I suppose. 我想他现在准已下班了。
6 (only in positive sentences 只用于肯定句) used for talking about sth annoying that sb always or very often does (用于谈及某人经常做的讨厌事情) You must put extra stress on ‘will’ and the short form cannot be used when you want to show that you are annoyed. He will keep interrupting me when I'm trying to work.
