1 used when talking about the result of an event that you imagine (用于设想的结果): He would be delighted if you went to see him. 如果你去看他,他会很高兴。She'd be stupid not to accept. 她不接受那才笨呢。I would have done more, if I'd had the time. 要是我有时间,我做的会更多一点。
2 used for asking sb politely to do sth (用于礼貌地请对方做某事): Would you come this way, please? 请你这边走好吗?
3 used with ‘like’ or ‘love’ as a way of asking or saying what sb wants (与like或love连用,以询问或表达想要的东西): Would you like to come with us? 你想和我们一起去吗? I'd love a piece of cake. 我想要一块蛋糕。
4 to agree or be ready to do sth 同意或愿意做某事: She just wouldn't do what I asked her. 她就是不愿意做我要她做的事。
5 used as the past form of ‘will’ when you report what sb says or thinks (转述时用作will的过去时): They said that they would help us. 他们说过会帮助我们的。She didn't think that he would do a thing like that. 她不认为他会做那样的事。
6 used after ‘wish’ (用于wish后): I wish the sun would come out. 我但愿太阳出来。
7 used for talking about things that often happened in the past (用于表示过去常发生的事): When he was young he would often walk in these woods. 他年轻时常在这些树林中散步。
8 used for commenting on behaviour that is typical of sb (用于评论某人的惯常行为): You would say that. You always support him. 你会那样说的。你一向支持他。
